Miami Dade College and Grow with Google Offer Google IT Automation with Python Professional, Data Analytics and UX Design Programs for Free

Miami, July 14, 2021 – Miami Dade Colleges (MDC) University of Technology and Technology (EnTec), The idea center @ MDC and Grow with Google together again to offer a third Google IT Automation with Python program that concludes with a free professional certificate. The The new 17-week program is scheduled to begin on July 26th at The Idea Center.

Even before the pandemic, the MDC implemented resources for students and faculty to better prepare for changes in the workforce. Students now have access to more programs, courses, and certificates in high tech and high touch skills that are needed for success in today’s workforce.

“Understanding our students’ needs is key to designing a learning experience that is based on constant support and real application,” said Gustavo Grande, Program Director at The Idea Center. “This will help improve motivation levels and increase completion rates from the global average of 15 percent for Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) to more than 80 percent in the mixed modality being implemented at The Idea Center at the MDC. “

The program prepares candidates to advance their careers in information technology and culminates in a certificate that provides learners with professional skills using Python, a programming language currently most in demand by IT employers.

Applications are being accepted for the 30 places available for the second cohort, which will be a mixed program with face-to-face and online sessions. The program is open to anyone aged 18 and over interested in a career in information technology. Candidates should have basic IT skills from previous training or IT-related work experience.
