TCU & UNTHSC Medical School receives preliminary accreditation

The Medical Education Liaison Committee has the TCU and UNTHSC School of Medicine preliminary accreditation, which brings Fort Worth medical school one step closer to full accreditation, the school announced in a press release on Tuesday. “This is a tremendous step in cementing the role of medical school as a key partner in making Fort Worth and North Texas a place where medical innovation in education and health care takes place,” said Dr. Stuart D. Flynn, the founding dean of the medical faculty.

New program could raise teacher salaries by up to six figures and improve student outcomes

Fort Worth ISD announced that it will be participating in an incentive compensation program that would enable some educators to earn six-figure salaries. It is a nationwide initiative that districts must agree to. A stable staff at a school creates a better culture for students to progress and learn, said Jo Beth Jimerson, Associate Professor of Educational Leadership. “The fact that there are high quality educators who can stay where they can build positive relationships with one another and have a good school culture and build positive relationships with the students and the community is already a step in the right direction,” she says said.

Fort Worth local elections are officially impartial, but experts say it was the partisanship and campaigns efforts to reach people personally that increased the visibility of the mayor’s race and raised voter turnout to a record high for this century. Emily Farris, Political science professor said knowing which party a candidate’s ideas match helps voters feel more confident about their decisions. “For someone like Mattie Parker, who was relatively unknown in this election cycle, these partisan cues made things easier for voters,” Farris said.

Since she was a child Leigh Sendra ’98 had a soft spot for needy animals. Now as an adult, Sendra has a non-profit clinic dedicated to such animals. Sendra opened CHEW, which stands for Compassion Hope Education Wellness, Animal Clinic, on Walnut Hill Lane in January. After successful with her DFW-based Doodle Rock Rescue, she started the CHEW Animal Clinic to help Dallas’s worst pets.

That’s what TCU baseball coaches do Kirk Saarloos wanted to build his first coaching staff. “I wanted people I knew,” said Saarloos. “I didn’t want to go and find someone someone else told me about. I wanted people I knew and trusted. ”This can be seen in the way Saarloos has built up his staff in the days since his appointment as head coach. As Saarloos said during its opening press conference, Bill Mosiello remains as deputy head coach.

Sometime towards the end of each summer Gary Patterson sits down at his desk and writes a letter in which he describes how his TCU team can achieve 12 victories in the coming season. Patterson dismantles every opponent and examines obstacles that stand in his team’s way, such as: B. opposing personnel, challenges in the street stadium – basically everything he can take with him from his 20 years as head coach of the Horned Frogs. When he’s finished, Patterson puts it in a closet in his office.
